2016 Cadillac ATS-V: Where are the Germans?

2016 Cadillac ATS-V

In order to get the most out of premium car buyers, the only American high-end car brand released an all new car called the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. Available as a coupe and as a sedan, this luxury compact saloon stands at the sporty side of the equation. It is a powerful, mean, and almost threatening and hostile machine hiding behind the V sports badge. We saw some impressive executive saloons from Cadillac. Some wore aristocrat suits while the other showed what can be achieved with American craftsmanship. Once again, Cadillac leads the way even in the territory where only the courageous went – the territory dominated by the mighty German executive saloons and sporty coupes made by Audi, BMW and Mercedes. 2015 BMW M7: Year Of The Beast

The 2015 BMW M7 is soon to be in our presence. After seeing BMW add numerous editions to the powerful M class, the highly anticipated edition to the 7-series BMW will finally arrive. Which means look out AMG’s, BMW has a new killer on the way.

The 2015 BMW M7 is expected to pack a punch with with a Twin-Turbo v8 pushing 550 – 600 HP, but will be able to stop on a dime with the a Carbon Ceramic Brake System. Of course we will see electronic dampering system for the suspension, making the driving experience all the better, whether it be on the track or with the family down Sunset BLVD. 20 inch forged wheels and M Performance Exhaust. If that doesn’t get your motor running, I don’t know what will.

Interior will have perforated leather and a number of other options. Typical tech, comparable to the other M Series. The major concern is with the power and exterior.

Though nothing has been officially announced, you can expect to see a price tag in the $150,000 range, or hopefully a little less. Little to pay for such a refined piece of machinery known as the 2015 BMW M7

The 2015 Tesla Model S Will Electrify Your Giblets

Tesla Model S

It seems that in James Bond movies the villain always has a unique accent and is a self made gazillionaire yet is hell bent on world domination. Well it seems that Elon Musk is either a Bond villain, real-life Iron Man or simply an Axe body spray fragrance. Either way Mr. Musk is a brilliant man and deserves respect for his multiple achievements. The South African/Canadian/American (Don’t you dare call him white) has been the spine behind PayPal, Space X and now Tesla. Going against the odds like the great pioneers of yesteryear this man had all the skeptics playing him off as a nobody and now they are kissing his ass. Yes Tesla seems here to stay as their Model S vehicles are not only popular but downright desirable. Continue reading

The 2015 Chrysler 200 Is Actually Interesting

2015 Chrysler 200

There have been very few vehicles to come from Dodge/Chrysler that have perked my interest and usually I would believe this new 200 to be just an improved looks with sloppy guts situation but once we dive into the powertrain we learn that there is much more than meets the eye. Since Chrysler’s lazily hostile Italian takeover by Fiat we were wondering how the spaghetti slingers would approach the minutia that has been pooped out of Chrysler’s factories. The Dodge Dart was a breath of fresh air and so it seems that this has the potential as well. The new 2015 Chrysler 200 shares the same bone structure as the Dart and others and some engines as well but there is a massing of several different features that makes this car… dare I say it desirable. 2015 Hyundai Sonata – Better and Stronger

When the current version of Hyundai Sonata (i40 in Europe) hit the market, the competitors were confused and the public was left in disbelief. Its extremely bold style and equipped with lots of equipment attracted way more attention compared to its established rivals. However it didn’t take long for Hyundai’s competitors to take measures and introduce even more improved models. Continue reading

The Retro Styled Ford Bronco for 2015

2015 Ford Bronco

The retro styling phase is usually a love it or hate it type of affair but when the revisit of the modern muscle car era started, it was big and changed the course of the way designers looked at vehicles. Today we have seen a dip in trends as more companies are looking to get as sleek as possible in order to lower the overall drag-coefficient of the vehicle. One enemy of efficiency is height and thus all the crossovers are becoming turtle shells that lack ground clearance. With more emphases on efficiency that capability, the auto manufacturers have left the true off-roaders stuck with either a Jeep, 4Runner or the soon to possibly be discontinued Nissan Xterra as the rest of the vehicles are getting spaded and neutered. The Nissan Pathfinder now doesn’t even want to get the tires off pavement and the new Jeep Cherokee looks like Sloth from the Goonies and has been brought down to crossover hell even though their marketing campaign is trying desperately to have you believe it’s tough. Either way there still is the need for appearance. Sure look at some Wrangler owners, they have the ARB bumpers, Warn winch and fake bead locking wheels yet some are terrified to scratch their baby. But these are customers and there are a lot of them that love to have a simply badass and capable looking trail ready rig even if the only activity seen is driving on the grass to soccer practice. The fact is that Ford knows that people love and want the old 60’s era Bronco but they also want for it to be modular like the Wrangler so they can put all sorts of custom items on it. I agree as my Wrangler looks like it’s nearly on the set of Road Warrior. Plus with a strong aftermarket following like the Jeep has there are a lot of customers that could really get into owning the iconic 4×4. Continue reading
